Vienna - Newark with Austrian Airlines, from July 2, 2014

On 2 July 2014, Austrian Airlines opened the route Vienna - Newark, this being the fourth destination in the United States after New York-JFK, Washington and Chicago. The route is honored with 5 weekly flights on board one Boeing 767-300ER (36 of passengers in Business Class and 178 in Economy).

The route Vienna - Newark is operated according to the following schedule:

Austrian Airlines operates 12 flights between Vienna and New York (7 on JFK with Boeing 777-200ER and 5 on Newark with Boeing 767-300ER) and 33 weekly flights between Vienna and North America (1 daily flight to Washington with Boeing 777, 1 flies daily to Chicago with Boeing 767 and 1 flying daily to Toronto with Boeing 767, to which we add the weekly 12 flights to New York mentioned above).

Newark is the basis for United Airlines and can play an important role in transfer flights, providing travelers with more opportunities for mail in the United States: Atlanta, Boston, Buffalo, Cleveland, Houston, Indianapolis, New Orleans and the list can continue.

Austrian Airlines commercial director Karsten Benz hopes for more 100 000 of passengers from / to the United States, this year, 50 000 being expected to fly to and from Newark.
