On February 10, 2021, prior to takeoff, a Boeing 717 Delta Air Lines skidded off the runway at Pittsburgh International Airport.

The 18-year-old N998AT was about to take off for Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport as flight DL2231. Unfortunately, he slipped off the Foxtrot runway, which is adjacent to runway 10R.

There were 717 people on board the Boeing 77 Delta Air Lines, they were not injured. Following the plane crash, Delta teams worked with airport authorities to transport passengers to the terminal safely.

The passengers said they were stuck in the plane for 3 hours, during which time the intervention teams looked for the best solution to evacuate the aircraft, taking into account the fact that it was tilted.
