On February 9, 2020, a Boeing 737-500 UTair went off the runway in Usinsk. The aircraft, which is registered VQ-BPS, operates flight UT595, from Moskva-Vnukovo.

At the time of landing, the plane hit the runway with its tail and then went off. Witnesses say it was a hard landing, which also led to the destruction of the landing gear. And the plane stopped on its "belly"!

According to local authorities, there were 94 passengers + 6 crew members on board and no casualties. Only one person needed the care of the doctors. Passengers were disembarked on slides and emergency doors.

The Boeing 737-500 VQ-BPS aircraft was built in 1997. It is 22.3 years old and has been flying for UTair since May 2012.
