A Boeing 747 British Airways will fly with Red Arrows at RIAT 2019

On 20 July 2019, within Royal International Air Tattoo, Boeing 747 British Airways (BOAC livery) will fly in formation with Red Arrows.

Boeing 747 British Airways G-BYGC was specially painted in the BOAC livery to celebrate the centenary of the British carrier.

Senior First Officer Tom Perrins and Captain Richard Allen-Williams will be at the helm of the 747. Also in the cockpit will be Captain Simon Scholey and Captain Jonny Lutton. The pilots did special training in the simulator.

Boeing 747 British Airways will take off from London Heathrow around 11: 00. Will meet Red Arrow in the Norton RAF area. They will be performing at the RIAT Aviation Show around 12: 15.

British Airways has a long history at RIAT, dating from 1985. The first evolution was of the legendary Concord with Red Arrows. At the beginning of the 2000 years, BA planes, like 777 or 747, flew. And at RIAT 2013, it flew Airbus A380 British Airways with Red Arrows.
