Osamu Shinobe, president and CEO of ANA, said that this type of aircraft played an important role in the development of ANA. It is the backbone of the fleet for long-haul flights. At the same time, All Nippon Airways was able to launch new long and long distance routes.

And the expansion doesn't stop. ANA will operate Boeing 787 flights to Phnom Penh, Cambodia (as of September 2016) and Mexico City, Mexico (February as 2017).

ANA became the launch customer of the 787 model through the order placed in 2004. Thus, in 2011 the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner entered commercial service in ANA colors. Analyzing the entire Dreamliner fleet worldwide, we note that All Nippon Airways operates 11% of their total.

Currently, the largest Dreamliner operator in the world has an additional 33 order for 787 aircraft, including the longest and newest family member, the 787-10. The airline also has 20 of 777-9 airplanes to order.

Since joining 2011's commercial service, the global fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft has carried 109 millions of passengers on 500 routes around the world.
