The Minister of Transport, Razvan Cuc, announced the signing of the contract for the modernization of the 08L-26R runway, at Otopeni - Bucharest Airport.
The contract also involves the modernization of the road structure, marking, sewerage, design (DTAC, PT) and execution. Including technical assistance from the designer and execution of earthworks (safety zone) at the landing runway no. 2 (08L-26R) and at the N, V, W, O toll roads at Henri Coandă Bucharest International Airport.
Upgrade track 08L-26R
The contract lasts for 10.5 months. In 2,5 months the design is done and the execution is planned for 8 months. The work will have 6 years warranty.
Through this contract, Minister Razvan Cuc announces that he intends to continue the series of investments started at the Henri Coandă Bucharest International Airport.
The minister announces that the last major repairs were made in the 1997 year, the rest being only current maintenance work. From the statements made by Minister Răzvan Cuc, we understand that these works will be done with the money generated by the airport.
