A C-27J Spartan aircraft of the Romanian Air Force, configured for medical missions, took off on Tuesday, November 2, from Base 90 Otopeni Air Transport "Aviator Commander Gheorghe Bănciulescu", to perform a humanitarian transport mission, on the route Bucharest-Hamburg (Germany), of six patients infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus who are in serious condition.

The medical team that monitors patients during the flight consists of specialists from SMURD Bucharest, and the transport of patients from hospital units to the airport was done by ambulances of SMURD and the Bucharest-Ilfov Ambulance Service.
