Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, the new national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has confirmed that Athens will be the first destination in the portfolio. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is a joint venture of ADQ and Wizz Air Holdings plc.
Flights will start from Abu Dhabi International Airport on January 15, 2021. Prices start at only 129 AED / segment, and tickets can already be booked online at company website or through mobile application.

The airline will also start flights from Abu Dhabi to Thessaloniki, starting on February 4, 2021, with fares starting at AED 149 / segment.

It initially announced a network of routes that also includes Alexandria, Kutaisi, Larnaca, Odessa and Yerevan. Flights to these cities will be launched as each destination joins the list of "green countries". Other destinations will be launched as the airline grows its Abu Dhabi fleet in the coming months.
With a fleet of new Airbus A321neo aircraft, the airline will have the smallest environmental footprint among its competitors in the region.
