Update 20: 20 18.02.2018: A team of 200 people are looking for the wreck of the plane. The area is difficult to access due to severe weather conditions and has not been found so far. There were 66 people on board, and the authorities did not expect to find survivors.

The last radio contact took place at local time 09: 22, when the aircraft was over Isfahan (IFN) VOR. Approval was requested to descend from FL210 to FL170. This was approved by Tehran ACC. The last radar contact was at 09: 25: 59, when the flight had just adjusted the altitude to FL170.

Update 13: 08 18 February 2018: Iranian authorities are looking for the wreck of the plane, but access is hampered by rough terrain. The area is flown over by helicopters, but due to adverse weather conditions they cannot land.

Authorities reported that 60 passengers, 4 crew members and 2 security agents were on board.
