If you are traveling in the red zone (eg Spain) to Romania, you will be quarantined for 14 days, with the possibility to shorten the quarantine if you test on the 8th day and go out on the 10th day. The PCR test does not help you avoid quarantine. However, if you are vaccinated, you can be exempted from quarantine.

Travel by plane from Romania to Spain

As of June 21, 2021, citizens arriving from Romania to Spain by air do NOT have to present upon entry into Spain: certificate attesting complete vaccination against COVID-19, negative PCR or antigen test or post-Covid recovery certificate .

The obligation for all persons traveling to Spain, by air or sea, to fill in a health form before the trip via the Spain Travel Health (SpTH) application or the website remains valid. https://www.spth.gob.es/ . If the passenger is a minor or a dependent, the form can be completed by the guardian, who will be responsible for the veracity of the information provided. After completing the form, a unique QR health code will be generated, which will have to be presented (digitally or on paper) at the health check performed at the airport / port of destination. If the form is signed from the application, it will appear in the "My trip" section, and the user will also receive a printable email.

Romanian citizens who choose the Canary Islands as a holiday destination must present a PCR test or an antigen test upon arrival at the hotel, tests performed no later than 72 hours before the time of accommodation. The test is mandatory for all people over 6 years of age. Persons presenting a complete vaccination certificate or a medical certificate showing that they have had COVID-19 in the last 6 months are exempted from the test presentation measure.       There is nothing to hide! Correctly, the mandatory test submission requirements or other documents regarding COVID have been eliminated, except for the Canary Islands, where a PCR test is required! At the same time, the negative PCR test is required for land transit from France to Spain. The article has been updated!
