Aegean Airlines suspends all international flights, starting March 26, 2020. As with other airlines, the new coronavirus indirectly affects the Greek airline.

Given the extraordinary circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, the travel restrictions imposed by Greece, the EU and other states, as well as the recently adapted measures to restrict unnecessary movements in Greece, Aegean is forced to continue temporarily suspending international flights.

Aegean Airlines suspends all international flights

From Thursday, March 26 until April 30, all international flights from all AEGEAN bases will be temporarily suspended. A small number of weekly flights from Athens to Brussels will be operated to maintain the country's connectivity with the EU administrative center.

Earlier this week, following the directive of the Civil Aviation Authority (NOTAM), all flights to and from the United Kingdom will be suspended (the last flights to / from London took place on March 23).

It should be mentioned that AEGEAN, in collaboration with the General Secretariat for Civil Protection and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will continue, at the request of the Greek authorities, to operate repatriation or other emergency flights, if they occur.

It is mentioned that 8 repatriation flights have already been operated by AEGEAN from Morocco, Spain, Czech Republic, Poland, Serbia and Georgia on behalf of the Greek State and 1 flight from London to Larnaka on behalf of the Republic of Cyprus.

AEGEAN informs that, for the time being, it will maintain a limited-frequency flight service for all internal networks, aiming to facilitate the minimum connectivity essential to the needs of the islands.

Passengers are encouraged to visit the company's website www.aegeanair.com, as all related information regarding flight cancellations or the voucher registration process, already offered by AEGEAN, is available online.
