Aeroflot resumes flight to Tokyo. There will be 2 weekly flights on the Moscow-Tokyo route.

After a break of more than eight months, Aeroflot Russian Airlines resumes its flight to Tokyo. The flight was temporarily suspended in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the operational schedule, the first flight SU0260 took off from Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO) on November 5, 2020, at 22:30, local time.

The Airbus A330-300 aircraft will land at Tokyo Haneda International Airport (HND) ten hours later at 14:15 local time.

Initially, Aeroflot planned one flight a week on the route Moscow Sheremetyevo (SVO) - Tokyo Haneda (HND). However, Aeroflot will increase the frequency to 2 flights a week, according to the TASS news agency. Thus, the flights on the direction Moscow - Tokyo will be on Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights to Tokyo - Moscow will be operated on Saturdays and Sundays.

Russia has opened its air borders to several countries, but not to the European Union. Airlines fly to Belarus, South Korea, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, but also to Cuba.

Passengers arriving in Moscow will have to be tested within a maximum of 3 days of entering Russian territory.
