Aeromexico orders 6 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft

Aeromexico, one of the largest airlines in Latin America, has finalized a firm order for 6 aircraft Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and with the possibility of ordering 4 again. With this order, Aeromexico will operate up to 19 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

The first 787-8 units will be delivered in 2013, and the new 787-9 models will be delivered from 2019. They will replace the Boeing 767-200ER and 767-300ER models from 2014. Currently, Aeromexico operates a fleet of 56 Boeing aircraft and has launched orders for 157 units.

In 2011, Aeromexico has transported over 14 millions of passengers, operating over 600 daily flights to destinations in Mexico, the United States, Canada, Central and South America, Europe and Asia.
