An aviation official and an Iraqi security official told Reuters news agency that two passengers were slightly injured after three or four bullets struck the body of the aircraft Monday evening. They couldn't pinpoint the source of the gunfire.

The plane landed safely on runway 15L, and all passengers landed properly. Slightly injured passengers did not need medical care. Passengers from Baghdad to Dubai were transported by another aircraft.

"After landing at Baghdad International Airport (BGW) on January 26, 2015, the fuselage of the flyDubai aircraft (flight FZ215) was inspected and damage was found in accordance with small arms fire," a spokesman for company.

An investigation has been opened in this case.
