Thus, on Friday, December 28, 2018, Beijing Capital International Airport was transited by passenger 100 of millions, being the first airport in China and the second in the world to exceed this threshold.

Beijing Capital International Airport was opened in 1958. In 1978, the Beijing airport had crossed the 1 threshold of one million passengers registered in a year.

100 million passengers registered in a year

40 years later, Beijing Capital International Airport exceeded 100 by millions of registered passengers a year. The average annual growth was 12.1%.

Also, Beijing Capital International Airport also registered a substantial increase in CARGO. In 2018, up to now, over 2 million tons of cargo have been processed.
