Brașov Airport after 1 year of activity: 134.631 passengers!

The Brașov airport became operational on June 15, 2023. It was a launch with many trumpets and trumpets, then overshadowed by the scandal with the air operator DAN Air. But even in this context, in the first year of activity, Brașov airport reported 134.631 passengers who flew from/to the airport at the foot of Tâmpei.

In the first week they were reported 30 aircraft moves (takeoffs and landings) in the first week. The first important milestone was reached in July 2023, when Brașov Airport celebrated the milestone of 10 000 of passengers!

2024 promises to be a better year than 2023, with many more charter and frequent flights. And the ambitious plan shows that Brașov Airport is aiming beyond 420 passengers per year, in 2026.

In 2024, Braşov International Airport was saved by charter flights! In the 2024 summer season, 10 weekly flights will be operated to 4 holiday destinations.

Compared to the summer season of 2023 when there were three charter flights per week to two destinations, this year we record ten weekly flights to four holiday destinations, to the two of the previous year, Turkey-Antalya and Crete-Heraklion, adding Egypt-Hurghada and Tunisia-Hammamet. In addition to charter flights, Wizz Air has frequent flights to Dortmund, London and Budapest. And from June, a new airline will launch its frequent flights from Brașov. Fly Lili will fly from Brașov to Munich, Thessaloniki, Bologna, Milan, Nuremberg, Rome, Stuttgart, etc.
