For Sibiu International Airport, the end of the 2015 year brought positive results, firstly reflected in the increase in the number of passengers. Thus, a figure of NO passengers embark or disembark, which is what it is an increase of 28% compared to the previous year. Similarly, the total number of aircraft movements increased by almost 12%, to 5.468 in 2015, compared to the year 2014.

The increase in the number of passengers is due in large part to the increase in flight frequencies for the already existing routes. And in the year 2015, the most wanted destination remained Munich. It was followed closely by London and Stuttgart.

The holiday destination specific for the summer season - Antalya, operated by Air Bucharest, has also contributed to the increase in the number of passengers, along with the traffic increases of our traditional partners, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Tarom and Blue Air.

For the year 2016 is announced a new route to Cologne Bonn, operated by our traditional partner, Blue Air, starting in March. Under these conditions, for the year 2016, an increase of traffic of 21 - 22% is estimated which will be reflected in an overall increase of the aeronautical revenues.
