Air Austral canceled the order for the 2 Airbus A380
Air Austral, a French company based in the airport Roland Garros - Sainte-Marie, Reunion, gave up the order for 2 Airbus A380.
It seems that the reckoning at home did not match the problems of recent years. The crisis has led to a decrease in the number of passengers eager to reach Sainte-Marie. The hope of the Air Austral operator, to walk one A380 with over 800 of economic travelers, it was shattered.
They seem to have been overly optimistic about the demand for places between Paris and the island of Réunion. Air Austral is currently struggling to stay afloat. In addition to canceling the 2 Airbus A380, two other aircraft Boeing 777-200LR waiting to be lifted from the Seattle base, only the operator has no cash left over to pay them.
