In January 1990, Air Canada received the first Airbus A320 in its fleet. Now, after 30 years, the C-FDQQ registered aircraft departed on its last flight from Montreal to Marana.
The last flight with passengers was AC426, on the route Toronto (YYZ) - Montreal (YUL). He underwent surgery on March 31. And on April 6, he operated the last flight under the code AC2335. It flew from Montreal (YUL) to Marana Pinal Airpark (MZJ) in the United States.

The aircraft with the serial number MSN59 operated the first flight in its history in October 1989, before being delivered to Air Canada in January 1990.
But this plane happened to be in the Air Canada fleet. It was originally to be delivered to Ansett - an Australian airline. After the latter canceled the order, the plane went to the Air Fleet
Canada through the GECAS rental system.
Airbus A320 (C-FDQQ) was not involved in serious accidents. But he was involved in four incidents. Between 4 and 2012, the aircraft had several technical problems. He lost pressure in the passenger compartment and, most recently, had a malfunction in the hydraulic system.
In addition to C-FDQQ, Air Canada received two more A320 (C-FDSN, C-FDST) aircraft in 1990, and deliveries of this type continued until 2000. Currently, Air Canada has 36 more Airbus aircraft. A320.
Prior to the crisis caused by the new coronavirus, Air Canada planned to remove the oldest Airbus A320-200 aircraft from the fleet by the end of 2020. But the crisis has accelerated the process. The old aircraft will be replaced with the new A220 and Boeing 737 MAX models (they are currently on the ground due to technical failures).
