Air China, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines took over the first COMAC ARJ21 aircraft

On Sunday, June 28, the three largest airlines in China - Air China, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines - took over the COMAC ARJ21 aircraft.

This is the first regional aircraft developed 100% in China. It has 90 seats and is manufactured by COMAC (Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China). By the end of 2020, the 3 Chinese airlines will receive more COMAC ARJ21 aircraft.

COMAC has delivered COMAC ARJ21 aircraft to Chinese companies

COMAC decided to produce this model to put an end to Bombardier - Embraer's dominant position in the regional jet market. According to the company, more than 100 ARJ21 aircraft will be delivered in the next five years.

Air China, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines ordered 35 ARJ21s each. A total of 105 aircraft made in China will be delivered to Chinese carriers between 2020 and 2024.

Air China, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines have large fleets and extensive coverage of the regional route network. China's major airlines have added their first ARJ21 aircraft to promote the model.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency have not yet certified the COMAC ARJ121.
