Air France inaugurates first Boeing 777 equipped with new cabins (video)
On 23 June 2014, Air France made the first flight with a Boeing 777 aircraft equipped with the new Economy, Premium Economy and Business cabins on the route Paris, New York. At 19: 10, the flight AF008 took off from Paris-Charles de Gaulle with the direction of New York. Thus, the passengers were able to enjoy, for the first time, the comfort of the new rearranged classes on board Air France aircraft.
Air France has chosen New York as its inaugural destination because the Paris - New York route is in the top and among the most important for the French air operator. This summer, Air France offers 4000 seats for this route, operating 7 daily flights (2 in partnership with Delta Air Lines).

By Best & Beyond program, the Air France fleet for long-haul flights (including 44 Boeing 777 aircraft) is gradually equipped with nearly 10 000 Economy seats, approximately 1100 Premium Economy seats and 2102 Business Class seats. By the end of the year, the new cabins will be available on flights to Singapore, Jakarta, Tokyo-Haneda, Houston and Shanghai, with aircraft flying to Dubai, Sao Paulo and Douala in 2015.
