Air France receives the 9 Airbus A380 (video)

Friday, 13 September 2013, was a lucky one for Air France. On the Twelfth Airbus A380 arrived in the French air carrier fleet. The aircraft is configured in 4 classes and can carry up to 516 passengers. It was delivered from the Airbus base in Hamburg-Finkenwerder. 10 A380 aircraft is expected somewhere through 2014.

Air France operates the A380 fleet to six destinations: • North America: New York-JFK (one daily flight), Washington-DC (one daily flight) and Los Angeles (one daily flight); • Africa: Johannesburg (a daily flight); • Asia: Tokyo-Narita (one daily flight) and Shanghai-Pudong (three weekly flights). Flights to Shanghai-Pudong began on 2 in September, and Air France is the first carrier in Europe to fly with superjumbo to the largest city in China.
