Air France celebrated 3 millions of passengers carrying Airbus A380
Air France reached the threshold of 3 million passengers transported with Airbus A380 aircraft. The event took place on 5 December, on the AF007 flight from New York-JFK to Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Air France offered several lucky presents to the passenger, this being a passenger named Aurelie Barthaux Naderzad.
Air France was the first air carrier to use Airbus A380s on the New York-JFK-Paris-Charles de Gaulle route in 2009. Air France also flies the A380 to Washington DC and Los Angeles.
The largest passenger aircraft can carry up to 516 passengers, in a configuration with 4 classes: 9 at La Première (First Class) on the main deck, 80 in the business class on the upper deck, 38 in the Premium Economy class on the upper deck and 389 in Economy class on the two decks.
In the winter season 2012-2013, Air France will operate A380 flights to 6 destinations: New York-JFK, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Johannesburg, Tokyo-Narita and Singapore.
