Air France and TAP Air Portugal have resumed flights to and from Brazil. Flights were suspended a few weeks ago due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Quarantine is required on arrival in Paris, as well as in Lisbon or Porto.

The flights were suspended on April 14, 2021, due to new strains of COVID-19, in an attempt to prevent the spread of the virus in France. The flights of the French national company between Paris CDG and two Brazilian airports were officially resumed this weekend.

An Airbus Airbus A350-900 (F-HTYH) flew to Sao Paulo-Guarulhos on Saturday. The connection had not been completely broken, probably to ensure repatriation as well as freight. The same is true for Roissy and Rio de Janeiro Guarulhos, where Air France made its first flight on Sunday, using a Boeing 777-300ER (F-GSQE) aircraft.

Air France and TAP Air Portugal have resumed flights to and from Brazil.

Travelers arriving from Brazil (among others) will have to isolate themselves for a period of 10 days. Will be "Police or gendarmerie checks accompanied by increased fines for non-compliance". According to a statement from the French government, only "citizens, spouses and children or citizens of the European Union or of a third country domiciled in France" are allowed to come to France.

We remind you that the French President, Emanuel Macron, revealed that the country is in the last stage of finalizing the travel restriction plan for vaccinated travelers and for those who received negative results in the tests performed for the detection of COVID-19 virus. The measures will be lifted for the citizens of the European Union and third countries, as well as for travel from the United States and the United Kingdom in May.

The situation is the same in Portugal, where the suspension of flights with Brazil preceded that of France, and the lifting of restrictions was announced last week. TAP Air Portugal has scheduled 25 weekly flights for April from its base, Lisbon-Humberto Delgado. There will be two flights to Brasilia airport, two flights to Belo Horizonte, three flights to Fortaleza, six flights to Rio de Janeiro (one of the flights will take off from Porto), six flights to Sao Paulo, two flights to Recife, two flights to Maceió and two flights to Salvador de Bahia.

Passengers arriving in Portugal from Brazil must remain in quarantine for a period of 14 days, at home or at a location indicated by the health authorities, in addition to presenting a negative PCR test before flight.
