Air France-KLM: with 4,1% more flights for the summer season 2018
The Air France-KLM Group announces an 4.1% increase in operational capacity, compared to the 2017 summer season, for the 2018 summer season (25 March-27 October 2018).
The increase will be determined by the introduction of new segments on long-haul flights (+ 3,9%), but also on medium and short-haul flights (+ 1,4%).
In 2018, the group continues its expansion strategy and offers 314 destinations to 116 countries, of which 78 segments will be introduced this summer.

The 2018 summer season comes with an 3,9% increase in long-haul flights and 9 new destinations in the Air France-KLM portfolio.
Among the newest destinations launched by Air France-KLM in the spring and summer of 2018 will be: Nairobi (Kenya), Seattle (USA) starting with 25 March, Taipei (Taiwan) starting with 16 April and San José (Costa Rica) . From May 2018, Joon will operate flights to Fortaleza (Brazil) and Mahé (Seychelles).
In the United States, Air France will resume flights to Seattle with 5 weekly flights with Boeing 777-200, and KLM will expand its services to Minneapolis, San Francisco and New York with new frequencies added. Thus, KLM will operate weekly 2018 4 weekly flights to Minneapolis, 11 to San Francisco and 20 to New York.
In the Caribbean and Central and South America, KLM expands its weekly capacity by 20% for departures from Amsterdam Schiphol to Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile, but also to the Caribbean islands. The company will have additional flights to Aruba, Bonaire, St Martin and Curaçao.
In Asia and the Middle East, Air France will launch in April three weekly flights to Taipei, Taiwan, operated by a Boeing 777-200 aircraft. Additional flights are also planned for Japan (Osaka and Tokyo Haneda) and South Korea (Seoul).
Last but not least, Africa and the Indian Ocean. Air France will launch Paris-Nairobi service on 25 March 2018, with 3 weekly flights operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
There will be an increase of + 1,4% on medium and short-haul flights and 45 of new European destinations and connections.
Air France increases the number of flights to Dublin (Ireland), Oslo (Norway), Gothenburg (Sweden), Berlin (Germany), Nice (France), Madrid (Spain), Marrakech (Morocco), and KLM introduces flights to Bologna (Italy). ), Krakow, Gdansk (Poland) and Helsinki (Finland).
