Coronavirus: Air France and KLM suspend flights to / from mainland China

After Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines and SWISS, Air France - KLM announces suspension of flights to / from mainland China. We all know the reason and it's called coronavirus. For airlines, the safety and health of passengers and crew is a zero priority.

Starting January 31, Air France and KLM will operate special flights from / to Shanghai and Beijing to provide support for French and Dutch citizens to return to Paris and Amsterdam. The crews will consist of flight attendants and volunteer pilots.

According to the decision taken by Air France and KLM, the flights will be suspended until February 9. The Paris / Amsterdam - Shanghai / Beijing routes are affected. Air France has previously suspended flights to / from Wuhan on January 22, and the suspension remains in effect until further notice. KLM will also suspend flights to Chengdu, Hangzhou and Xiamen.
