Aer Lingus is to launch its first transatlantic services directly from Manchester to the US and the Caribbean, which will create up to 120 new jobs. According to the press release, Aer Lingus will fly from Manchester to New York JFK and Orlando on July 29, Barbados on October 20 and Boston in the summer of 2022.
Two of the four new routes, namely New York JFK and Boston, will be honored by the new Airbus A321LR, a single-aisle aircraft. Thus, Aer Lingus will be the first airline to fly this type of aircraft on frequent flights between the UK and the US. Flights to Orlando and Barbados will be operated with Airbus A330-300 wide-body aircraft.

4 Aer Lingus transatlantic routes from Manchester
- Manchester-New York JFK - daily flight throughout the year, starting with July 29, 2021;
- Manchester-Orlando - up to 5 flights per week (Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday), starting with July 29, 2021; up to four weekly flights in the winter season 2021-2022 (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday);
- Manchester-Barbados - seasonal route starting on October 20, 2021 and will be honored with three flights per week (Wednesday, Friday, Sunday);
- Manchester-Boston - will start in the summer of 2022.

Flights from Manchester to United States are intended exclusively for traffic in the United Kingdom. Sales are not available to individuals in the United States.
