August 2014 brought a new record in the record of the airline "Air Moldova". Thus, for the first time in its history, the company managed to carry over 100 passengers for a month. This represents an increase of 000% compared to the same period of 58.
Of these, over 1200 passengers chose to travel in August from or to Iasi using the company's special offer for foreigners, which is why the company decided to continue this program and for the trips that will take place after 26 October 2014 . The most requested destinations by Iasi passengers during this time were London, Bologna, Rome, Barcelona, Istanbul and Verona.
Also, the passengers from Iasi from September receive free of charge for the first piece of hold baggage, with a maximum weight of 23 of kilograms, a feature that is added to the already existing ones: very attractive rates for the 25 of destinations served in Chisinau by Air Moldova and the possibility to benefit from a free transfer to the airport by the bus provided by Air Moldova, starting from the Palas Mall parking lot at the Palace of Culture in Iasi.
In total, during the first 8 months of the year, Air Moldova company carried 524 thousand passengers, increasing with 170 thousand passengers (+ 48%) compared to the same period of the year 2013. At the same time, Air Moldova carried over 22 thousands of passengers transfer through Chisinau International Airport, with an increase of 70 percent.
Air Moldova national carrier operates direct flights from Chisinau to 25 from destinations: Antalya, Athens, Barcelona, Bodrum, Bologna, Bucharest, Dublin, Frankfurt, Heraklion, Istanbul, Kiev, Larnaca, Lisbon, London, Milan, Moscow, Nijnevartovsk, Paris, Rome, Saint Petersburg, Sochi, Surgut, Turin, Venice and Verona.
