Air Moldova wants direct flights on the route Chisinau - Lisbon and opens the route to Venice
The air carrier Air Moldova announced new changes to the operational program. Some will come into effect starting this winter, others in the 2014 summer season.
In the period December 9, 2013 - March 28, 2014, Air Moldova will operate two weekly flights with Embraer E190 aircraft on the route Chisinau - Venice, after the following program:
Flight 9U881: KIV 07:00 - 08:10 VCE E190 - Monday
Flight 9U881: KIV 19:10 - 20:20 VCE E90 - FridayFlight 9U882: VCE 08:50 - 11:35 KIV E90 - Monday
Flight 9U882: VCE 21:00 - 23:45 KIV E90 - Friday
Embraer E190 Air Moldova is configured in 2 classes: 6 passengers in Business Class and 108 in Economy Class. On this route, the air carrier from the Republic of Moldova competes with Carpatair. To Italy, Air Moldova flies to Rome - Fiumicino, Milan - Malpensa, Bologna and Verona.
From 30 March to 2014, Air Moldova will split the route Chisinau - Larnaca - Athens - Chisinau on two separate routes, Chisinau - Larnaca and Chisinau - Athens. Flight will be operated according to the following program:

Flight 9U869: KIV 19:00 - 20:50 ATH E90 - Sunday
Flight 9U870: ATH 21:50 - 23:30 KIV E90 - SundayChisinau - Larnaca

Flight 9U874: LCA 20:20 - 22:20 KIV E90 - SaturdayChisinau - Larnaca - the second weekly frequency will be operated between June 03, 2014 and September 09, 2014

The flights will be honored with Embraer E190 aircraft.
Another notable change is the route Chisinau - Lisbon. From 5 April to 2014, Air Moldova wants to introduce direct flights to the capital of Portugal, currently being operated with a stopover in Madrid. The route will be honored with a weekly flight aboard the aircraft Embraer E190, after the following program:
Flight 9U895: KIV 20:20 - 22:50 LIS E90 - Saturday
Flight 9U896: LIS 23:50 - 06: 00 + 1 KIV E90 - Saturday
On this route, Air Moldova has no competition yet, but TAP Portugal is likely to enter.
From our point of view, the routes operated by one weekly flight are not future, but Air Moldova is likely to have other studies and will be successful. Clear sky!
