During the COVID-19 pandemic, Air New Zealand operated its first flight to / from Delhi, India. It happened between April 22-24. NZ1955 Air New Zealand was a repatriation flight on the direction Delhi - Auckland. We mention that the national carrier from New Zealand never flew to Delhi before the coronavirus crisis.
Moreover, this flight was also special for the pilots. The repatriation mission had an additional level of complexity.
Air New Zealand is set to return to India with flights to Delhi and Mumbai for the repatriation of several citizens from the two cities. The flights will be scheduled until April 30, 2020 and operated with a Boeing 777-300ER with 342 seats.
