On 16 December 2016, Air Serbia celebrated transport of 2 550 000 of passengers to 2016, exceeding the total number of passengers carried throughout the year 2015. With 2 weeks before the end of the year, the Serbian operator rewarded the passenger with the 2550000 number.

Lucky passenger, Biljana Stanivuković, received 2 Economy Class airline tickets for any short-haul Air Serbia flight. She traveled on the route Belgrade - London Heathrow, flight JU380.
The growth was driven by the expansion of the Air Serbia network in Europe and North America. We remind you that Air Serbia has launched 5 new routes this year. The most important thing is transatlantic route Belgrade - New York, but flights to Hamburg, Kiev, Ohrid and St Petersburg cannot be neglected.
Also in 2016, Air Serbia received the first Airbus A330-200, widebody aircraft for long-haul flights.
