Air Serbia is in the process of completing the operational program for the winter season 2021/2022, which will start on October 31 and run until March 26, 2022. The airline has scheduled 35 routes, 7.732 flights and 869.588 seats for this period. for five months. These do not include charter services.

However, further changes to this program are expected in the coming weeks. The figures indicate that Air Serbia will increase operations by 83%, while capacity will increase by 80.4% compared to the previous winter season, which was severely affected by travel bans and restrictions across the continent.

Air Serbia will change service between Belgrade and Geneva on seasonal flights. The route was launched last summer.

Based on its existing schedule, which can be changed in the coming weeks, the airline will serve 34 cities in Belgrade, one in Nis, but there will be no flights from Kraljevo, which operated only seasonal flights to Thessaloniki during the summer.

It is possible that Air Serbia will also change the new route to Rostov-on-Don and that it will only be operated during the winter season. The company is also considering updating its seasonal operations to St Petersburg, wanting this route to be operated throughout the year in response to strong demand in the Russian market. So far, the company has scheduled services to Moscow and Krasnodar.

The carrier will not have scheduled flights to the Middle East and North Africa.

The airline's Director General for Trade and Strategy, Jiri Marek, recently said: "We are aware that the pandemic situation is deteriorating in some countries, as well as that travel restrictions are being imposed. For this reason, we will make plans for the next period with a dose of caution, focusing on the careful observation of the current situation and reacting quickly and in accordance with the measures and market demand ”.

Serbia has recently been placed on the European Union's red list, recommending that Member States ban non-essential travel to the Balkan country. The quarantine and testing rules apply only to persons who have not been vaccinated against coronavirus with vaccines recognized by the European Medicines Agency or, in some cases, by the World Health Organization.
