AirAsia X plans to return to Europe in 2019

For 3 years, AirAsia X has announced that it is resuming flights to Europe, but without anything concrete. In 2017, AirAsia X intended to resume flights to London and Frankfurt. He was planning to rent Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. It did not happen!

In 2018, the same board. Benjamin Ismail, chief executive officer AirAsia X, has confirmed to Routesonline that AirAsia X intends to resume flights to Europe starting with 2018. It didn't happen in 2018 either.

AirAsia X plans to return to Europe

Now comes 2019 and AirAsia X is back with the promise that it will resume flights to Europe at the earliest in September. AirAsia X will receive Airbus A330neo aircraft, which will facilitate the opening of new routes, including to destinations in Europe. Remains to be seen!

AirAsia X is currently flying to destinations in Australia, Japan and India. In the past, up to 2012, AirAsia X also flew to Europe. He has operated flights to Paris Orly, London Stansted and London Gatwick.

The current AirAsia X fleet consists of 23 of A330-300 aircraft, configured with 12 seats at Premium Economy (flat bed) and 365 seats at Economy. And it has to order 100 of A330-900neo aircraft.
