AirBerlin received a Boeing 737-800 Next Generation in OneWorld livery

"D-ABME, Welcome to Dusseldorf!”- this was the welcome message for the Boeing 737-800 Next Generation AirBerlin aircraft in OneWorld livery.

Today, in a festive setting, AirBerlin it came into the possession of the first Boeing 737-800 Next Generation in OneWorld livery. The aircraft was delivered from its Seattle base and traveled approximately 10.5 hours, traveling over 4500 miles, to Dusseldorf International Airport. The autonomy of an 737 is not very high, and D-ABME had to land in the Icelandic city of Keflavik for refueling.

On May 25, the technical certification inspection will be prepared by the German Aviation Agency, and on May 26, the aircraft will operate the first commercial flight on the route Dusseldorf - Rome!
