On 29 November 2019, Airbus celebrated the manufacture of 100 A220 aircraft. The event took place at the headquarters in Mirabel, Canada. Centennial aircraft is model A220-300 painted in livery airBaltic. Comes with a new and comfortable cabin, configured to carry up to 149 passengers.
The A220 family of aircraft, which was launched by Bombardier under the name CSeries, entered the Airbus portfolio on 10 July 2018. There was also a rebranding at the time: Goodbye, CS100 and CS300! Hello, A220-100 and A220-300! Currently, A220 aircraft are manufactured at the assembly line in Mirabel, Canada and at the factory in Mobile, Alabama.

The first A220, model A220-100, was delivered in June 2016 to SWISS. The A220-300 model debuted alongside airBaltic on the November 28 2016. Since then, the Latvian air carrier has placed orders for 50 aircraft. It has received 20 from A220-300 aircraft, becoming the largest European air carrier of the A220 model.
The performance of the A220 aircraft convinced the airBaltic company to want a fleet consisting only of A220 aircraft. The 20 planes operate numerous flights to destinations in Europe and the Middle East. At the same time, the longest flight operated by an A220 is on the route Riga - Abu Dhabi and lasts 6.5 hours.
The A220 family of aircraft has received orders for 530 units from 20 from customers worldwide. 100 of them are in the commercial service :).
