At 40's birthday since the first A300, on October 23, Airbus inaugurated the final assembly line for the newest model in the 300 family - A350 XWB. It will continue the tradition of widebody aircraft. The final assembly line is at the base in Toulouse, France. It has an area of ​​74 000 square meters and will produce up to 10 A350 aircraft per month from 2018. About 1500 people will be employed.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by over 1000 people - government representatives, Airbus partners, Airbus employees, airline representatives, journalists, etc. The Prime Minister of France, Jean-Marc Ayrault, and the President of Airbus, Fabrice Brégier, spoke.

Airbus A350 XWB is scheduled to enter the market in 2014, but until then models for testing will be assembled. There will be a model for ground tests and one for in-flight tests. So far, 558 has been ordered by A350 aircraft by 34 by airlines.
