Airbus has begun assembling the first A350-1000 XWB
In September 2015, Airbus began assembling the components for the first Airbus A350-1000. Less than one year after delivery of the first A350 XWB, version 900, the older brother begins to take shape. The first major components of the fuselage will be assembled in Hamburg and Saint-Nazaire. I mention that it is the first A350-1000 plane, and for this reason its assembly will take longer. On this occasion, the infrastructure dedicated to this type of aircraft is also tested.
The "nose" and the front of the aircraft will be joined to the Saint-Nazaire plant, then transported to the A350 XWB assembly line in Toulouse. Wing assembly began in August 2015 at Airbus Base in Broughton. The final assembly of the aircraft will begin in the first part of the year 2016, in Toulouse, following the first flight to be operated in the second half of the year 2016. The first deliveries are scheduled for 2017.
Airbus A350-1000 is the longest version of the new A350 XWB widebody aircraft family, measuring 74 meters. It can carry up to 366 of passengers in a standard configuration with 3 classes, for a maximum distance of 8000 of nautical miles (14816 Km). The A350-1000 aircraft will be powered by Trent XWB-97 engines.
In the summer of this year, the online publication Airlines Travel was invited by Airbus at the Toulouse base, on which occasion I also visited the A350 XWB assembly line. Airbus presented the eco-efficiency strategies, and A350 XWB is part of these strategies.

To date, the Airbus A350-1000 has received orders for 169 from units from 9 customers, and the entire Airbus A350 XWB has registered orders for 782 from aircraft from 40 from customers.
