On August 5, Airbus began production of A220 aircraft in the United States. The first A220 specialized team started working at the Airbus factory in Mobile, Alabama. The first US-made A220, an A220-300 for Delta Air Lines, is scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of the 2020. By the middle of the next decade, the facility will produce between 40 and 50 of A220 aircraft per year.
