Airbus delivered the first A330neo Delta Air Lines (photo / video)

On 24 May 2019, Airbus delivered the first A330neo Delta Air Lines. It is part of an 35 order of A330neo aircraft. The aircraft will come equipped with the new Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 and Airspace by Airbus engines.

Delta Air Lines was the launch customer for A330-900, placing an order for 25 aircraft in November 2014. They also joined 10 following an order from 2018.

With the reception of the new A330-900, Delta Air Lineste is one of the few airlines with ultra-modern widebody aircraft from Airbus. It still has 13 x A350-900 in the fleet.

The Delta fleet currently has 265 of Airbus aircraft, including A321 and A220. At the same time, Delta also has orders for 270 of Airbus aircraft, among them being 100 of A321neo units. We remind you that the Delta fleet is in top 10 the largest air fleet in the world, having over 890 aircraft.

Returning to the Airbus A330-900 Delta, the aircraft will be based at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. It will operate long-haul flights to Shanghai, Seoul and Tokyo Narita.

The new A330neo Delta is configured for 281 passengers. It will have 29 seats in Business Class, 29 seats in Premium Economy, 56 seats in Extra-Legroom Economy and 168 seats in Economy.
