The newest member of the Airbus A350 XWB family has undergone extreme testing in Iqaluit, Canada!
In February, a Airbus A350-1000 (MNS71) factory, the largest aircraft in family A350 XWB, has undergone rigorous ground and air tests. These were made under very low temperatures in the Iqaluit region, Canada.

Iqaluit, a Canadian territory with a polar climate caused by Labrador Current, hosted the A350-1000 aircraft test program. The whole operation lasted 5 days, during which the outside air temperature ranged between -28 degrees and -37 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the Northern Lights put on a show in the background!
According to Emanuele Costanzo, Flight Test Engineer at Airbus, Airbus A350-1000 passed ground and flight tests, demonstrating the reliability of the A350 XWB aircraft.
In the TIP Certification campaign, a fleet of 3 test aircraft of the Airbus A350-1000 type is used.
