On 9 May 2014, Airbus continued testing for model certification A350 XWB and subdued the aircraft Airbus A350 XWB (MSN004) to a "shower" with plenty of water.

On the runway of the Istres airfield in France, a small basin (100 meters long, 29 meters wide) was filled with water (approximately 20 mm thick). The plane went through many of these, depending on the proposed scenarios. The running speed ranged from 60kts (111.12 Km / h) to 140kts (259.28 Km / h).

This test validates the aircraft's behavior on an excessively wet runway. It can be seen that the water jet generated by the landing gear does not enter the engines and does not affect the APU. The results will be analyzed by the Airbus design bureau, which will extrapolate them and generate different typical operational scenarios.

Testing the new model Airbus A350 XWB are in charts, and certification is scheduled for T3 2014. If everything goes according to plan, we will have the first delivery of A350 XWB in T4 2014. The first four Airbus A350 XWB aircraft have accumulated a total of 1600 flight hours, in 350 flights. The test fleet will be supplemented by a 5 A350 XWB, which will be in roles in a few weeks.
