Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways, visited the Airbus base in Toulouse for information on the progress of the A350 program. The Doha-based air carrier will be the launch customer of the Airbus A350 XWB, as well as being the largest customer with 80 of ordered aircraft.
During Akbar Al Baker's visit, Airbus revealed the new A350 XWB (MSN4) painted in a special livery. The fourth A350-900 XWB bears the colors of Qatar Airways and Airbus. It will join the other A350 aircraft used in flight tests and will serve to train the first pilots.
