On 28 July 2014, Airbus A350 XWB (MSN5) arrived in Hong Kong. For the first time in the history of A350 XWB, the aircraft landed on Hong International Airport (HKAI). Airbus A350 XWB (MSN5) is one of the 5 A350 aircraft used in the test program.
For the visit to ASIA, the A350 XWB arrived directly from Toulouse and will perform various tests in the weather conditions in the region. The aircraft will operate a series of flights between Hong Kong and Singapore for 3 days. On July 31, the Airbus A350 XWB (MSN5) will return to its base in Toulouse.
On 2 August 2014, Airbus A350 XWB (MSN5) will enter the 3 phase of the world tour and take off to Johannesburg (South Africa). A350 World Tour started on 24 July and involves a series of tests on 4 different routes. A350 MSN5 will fly to 14 destinations, from 6 continents, to 13 August 2014.
