Airbus A350 XWB and the entire story of the first flight (video)

On June 14, Airbus wrote a new tab in the history of civil aviation. Airbus A350 XWB flew to new heights of technology. At 11 time: 00 (Romania time), A350 XWB took off from Toulouse-Blagnac airport. 4 hours and 5 minutes of tests and simulations in the air followed. The first Airbus A350 XWB flight was a success.

The aircraft was piloted by Peter Chandler, Airbus' Chief Test Pilot, and Guy Magrin, Project Pilot for A350 XWB. They were accompanied in the cockpit by Pascal Verneau. The flight was monitored by 3 engineers: Fernando Alonso, Patrick du Ché and Emanuele Costanzo.

For Airbus and the A350 XWB project the burden is just beginning. Ground and air tests will be operated with 5 Airbus A350 XWB aircraft. In total, they will perform 2500 flight hours. The certification of this model and the entry into the commercial system in the second half of 2014 will follow, when the first A350 XWB aircraft will be delivered to Qatar Airways.
