Airbus A380 Air France flies to Shanghai three times a week

From 2 September to 2013, Air France fly with Airbus A380 in Shanghai. The aircraft will operate three flights a week on the route Paris-Charles de Gaulle - Shanghai-Pudong, Air France being the first airline in Europe to fly with superjumbo to the largest city in China.

The aircraft can carry up to 516 passengers in a four-class configuration: 9 seats at La Première, 80 seats at Business, 38 seats at Premium Economy and 389 seats at Economy. For passenger comfort, the aircraft is equipped with 6 bars for a friendly atmosphere, an art gallery, benefits from 220 windows for much more natural light in the cabin, and the noise level is 5 decibels lower than the standards.

Airbus A380 Air France flies on Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Shanghai-Pudong according to the following schedule:

AF 116: Paris-Charles de Gaulle 23:20 - 16:20 + 1 Shanghai-Pudong
AF 111: Shanghai-Pudong 23:20 - 5:35 + 1 Paris-Charles

As of September 2013, Air France will have eight Airbus A380 aircraft and will honor 6 destinations:

• in North America: New York JFK (one daily flight), Washington DC (one daily flight) and Los Angeles (one daily flight),
• in Africa: Johannesburg (a daily flight),
• in Asia: Tokyo-Narita (one daily flight) and Shanghai (3 weekly flights).
