Airbus A380 Emirates opens Dubai Airshow with a flypast in formation with 26 military aircraft (Video)
On 17 November 2019 opened Dubai Airshow, an aeronautical event held during the 17-21 November 2019. The event started with an air show. An Airbus A380 Emirates aircraft opened the Dubai Airshow with a 26 flypast of military aircraft.
Visitors and aircraft enthusiasts were able to admire 3 Chinook helicopters, 3 Black Hawk and 3 Apache, which paved the way for Airbus A380 Emirates. The super-jumbo flew with the Al Fursan band, the United Arab Emirates Air Force aerobatic demonstration team.

Behind them flew an A330 MRTT tanker, 4 F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft, a Boeing C-17 military aircraft and 4 single-engine Mirage 2000 aircraft. All 27 aircraft flew over the runway of Dubai World Center (DWC) airport.
At the helm of Airbus A380 Emirates were Captain Abbas Shaban and Captain Patrick De-Roeck, supported by First Officer Colin Campbell.
It was a spectacular flypast, which took many hours of preparation. The UAE Military and Air Force, the UAE Ministry of Defense, flight operations managers, Emirates crew and air traffic controllers, plus the DCAA and GCAA aeronautical authorities were involved.
