Airbus A380 under control - micro-cracks in the wings
The air giant, Airbus A380, get under control. The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) recommends that all 67 of Airbus A380 aircraft currently in use be inspected, after several cracks have been discovered on the wings of such aircraft.
On January 20, AESA had requested the verification of the planes that had accumulated many hours of flight. The first models called to check are those with over 1300 flight hours. Airbus stated that the lives of passengers were not endangered and the integrity of the aircraft was not affected.
Singapore Airlines and Emirates are the first airlines to send aircraft Airbus A380 on inspection. The cause that led to the micro-cracks is still unknown. The European manufacturer is investigating the problem and hopes to find the solution as soon as possible.
