Today is an important day for global aviation, for Airbus, for Qatar Airways, but also for all of us. On December 22, 2014, Airbus delivers the first A350 XWB to Qatar Airways. I followed every flight, every landing and take-off, every evolution in the development program.
Here comes the big day. The first A350-900 XWB will take off for Qatar Airways, the first customer to enjoy the services of this aircraft. This is how a new chapter is written in the history of commercial aviation.
Qatar Airways has ordered 43 from A350-900 XWB and 37 from Airbus A350-1000 units. A350-900 Qatar Airways aircraft will be configured to carry 283 passengers in a configuration of 2 classes: 36 of Business Class passengers and 247 of Business Class passengers.
