The Spanish government has announced new measures in the fight against the new COVID-19. These measures enter into force between March 30 and April 9 and restrict all non-essential activities throughout the country.

In the aircraft and helicopter construction industry there are essential and non-essential trades. The essential ones are in the field of IT, security, engineering, assembly and will remain active under the strict measures imposed to protect the employees against COVID-19.

Some Airbus employees in Spain, whose jobs are not related to production and assembly, will be able to work from home and continue to support Airbus activity during these difficult times.

All other activities will be discontinued until April 9, when the restrictions are expected to be lifted.

Airbus continues to support the fight against the new COVID-19 virus through humanitarian flights operated with its own A330 MRTT, A330-800neo and A400M aircraft
