Alaska Airlines has ordered five Boeing 737-900ER

On 30 September 2013, Alaska Airlines placed an order for five aircraft Boeing 737-900ER (Extended Range). The order is worth 481 million dollars, calculated at the list price. Alaska Airlines continues to invest in fleet modernization and fuel optimization.

The newest member of the 737 family, Boeing 737-900ER can carry up to 26 more passengers compared to 737-900. Flight autonomy was increased by about 1000 km. 737-900ER Alaska Airlines aircraft are configured in 2 classes and can carry up to 181 passengers. The aircraft come equipped with Boeing Sky interior, and all seats will be equipped with USB port and 110 volts power system.

Boeing 737-900ER It can connect cities far from the continent, such as Seattle to Orlando, Florida. This type of aircraft comes with a very good operational ratio, being 6% lower than the competing models. Currently Alaska Airlines has orders placed for 35 737-900ER and 37 737 MAX.
